International Belt Tournament

WCABC Takes Europe by Storm at International Tournament!

The Waltham Cross Amateur Boxing Club (WCABC) is buzzing after an incredible weekend at Europe's largest belt-winning international amateur tournament! Held at the Wodson Sports Centre, the 3rd annual event saw over 1,000 spectators each day witness 200 thrilling bouts across 3 rings.

This year's tournament boasted an impressive international line-up, with clubs from Gibraltar, Italy, Sweden, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, and Norway all throwing down the gauntlet. The high level of competition made it a truly unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

We're incredibly proud of all our boxers who stepped into the ring this weekend! Our Juniors, Ernie, Frankie, and Mason, displayed fantastic courage and determination, giving a great account of themselves.

At the Senior level, Craig Wilkinson (u86kg), Jonah Headley (u67kg), Jonno Jedburgh (u63.5kg), and Rhys Casey (u81kg) all put on dominant performances, bringing home well-deserved belts!

Speaking of Rhys Casey, congratulations are also in order as he joins fellow WCABC teammate Kane Childs for a trip to Mexico City next week (June 22nd & 23rd)! They'll be representing England as they take on Team Mexico in a highly anticipated international showdown.

This year's tournament co-hosted between WCABC and Broad Street ABC was a resounding success, and we can't wait to see what the future holds! With each year, this event continues to grow, showcasing the best amateur boxing talent from across Europe.
